MACV-SOG Improvised Camo, Camouflage Effectiveness By Brent0331:
In this video we will be looking at one of the unique field modification methods that some members of recon teams that were apart of MACV-SOG during the Vietnam War did to their uniforms. That was the application of black paint to the issued OD jungle fatigues to help break up the human silhouette.
The purpose of this video is to explore history and provide the viewer a visual representation of what these uniforms looked like within the back drop of a heavily vegetated environment. Keeping in mind that these are the woods in North Texas and not the much darker triple canopy jungles of southeast Asia.
