Pre-WW2, Amin al-Husseini held the position of Grand Mufti of Jerusalem. In the WW2 years his nationalist views and anti-Zionist beliefs allied him with fascist Italy and Nazi Germany. This makes him one of the very few non-European leaders who sided with The Axis.
