Cowboy Action shooting has existed since the 1980’s, and it’s a wonderful and fun, inclusive space where people can enjoy historic firearms competition (and fashion) in a safe, friendly environment.
That said, CAS has become formulaic – targets are close, and stages are generally indistinguishable from one another.
Dead Eye is a new division in Brutality matches that includes any firearms designed and produced before 1898 – no fashion requirements, no caliber requirements, no minimum amount of guns (or maximum). You can shoot Dead Eye with 1 lever action rifle, or one pistol, or even one shotgun….or all of them as you strategize how to use your firepower the best you can for the stage at hand!
