Here’s a quick review of the MK3 chassis produced by Sureshot Armament Group USA. In Žiga’s opinion this is the best AK chassis available on the market. It’s relatively simple to install and it provides a rigid structure to mount optics, lasers and other accessories on the AK platform. The chassis provides a free floating platform with a removable front handguard that retains zero. Main top rail is designed to be in line with the barrel and can host different kinds of light and medium weight optics (primarily red dots, holographic sights and prisms). The rear railed portion of the dust cover is removable to facilitate easy and unobstructed rifle disassembly. Because of this feature the rear railed cover does not retain zero and is only appropriate to host a magnifier and not main aiming optics.
The proprietary gas tube is connected to the upper part of the chassis only on one point and gives a a free floating functionality to it with added bonus of limited heat transfer. This allows the user to mount optic or other devices on the upper rail above the gas tube without the fear of heat damage.
Overall this Sureshot Armament Group MK3 is the best AK chassis system on the market today.
