In July 1941, during the first years of WWII, the Einsatzgruppen recruited reinforcements for the extermination of Jewish people who were disappearing by the hundreds of thousands. But even this wasn’t enough for the large scale operations the Nazi’s had planned, recruiting more and more men to carry out their criminal orders, including an SS brigade made up of German ex-cons led by Oskar Dirlewanger.
