How Goering Helped The Germans At Verdun In WWI | Doomsday | War Stories

In 1914 Hermann Göring was injured in WWI. But wishing to find glory another way he becomes a member of a new division in the military…the airforce. As a reconnaissance pilot he flies across the battlefields of the First World War, surveying the ground for the German advance, most notably doing so ahead of Verdun in 1916.

The First World War is one of the most deadly conflicts in history. A new automated era of fighting brings death en-masse for the first time in history. It shapes the future not only of Europe’s citizens, but also its leaders, and those that would repeat history in the years to come.
