7 Days Alone in the North – Bushcraft – Rain and High Winds – Canvas Poncho Shelter – Catch and Cook
7 days bushcraft trip with my canoe. Paddling and portaging around a three lake system. Hard times in the rain but nothing beats the feeling when the sun comes out after two days of gray rainy weather. Some new ideas that was a great success. The Bow saw tension system was perfect. It doesn’t get any simpler than that.
In a scene you can see me wearing the poncho inside out, it was a mistake because I took it off in the canoe and put it on in a rush the wrong way in a sudden rain shower. The flaps on the inside or the outside has been greatly debated in the Lavvu community and now I know they really do a better job on the inside, at least when it functions as a poncho. But it should be the same thing when set up as a Lavvu. So here you go. My longest video ever. Thanks for watching!
