How to Tie the Buntline Hitch in UNDER 60 SECONDS!! | How to Tie a Hitch Knot

Learn how to tie the Buntline Hitch in this quick and easy to follow 4K video.

In this short video I demonstrate how to tie a Hitch using the Buntline Hitch and the Slipped Buntline Hitch.

The Buntline Hitch is a traditional hitch that was originally used to secure sails on sailing ships. It’s a secure hitch knot but is known to jam after stress. Because of its tendency to jam, I’ve also included the Slipped Buntline, to demonstrate how you can use this knot and untie it easier. You will also see in this video how the buntline is similar to a clove hitch.
