In this video we visit with the experts at the Buffalo History Museum in Houston, TX to learn about the 93rd Infantry Division – a segregated "colored" regiment of the US Army that was handed over to the French command during WW1, issued French equipment, and took on the moniker of the "Blue Helmets" due to the French adrian helmets they were issued. They fought for the AEF, again in WW2 and beyond, but also against Jim Crow and systemic racism.
