Incredible 50ft Iron Age House built by hand: Historic Build

Here is a massive 50ft Iron Age Round house that was built by hand. It is made with a timber frame of oak, and rafters of alder. The roof is thatched with reed and the walls are wattle and daub. This giant roundhouse can be found at Butser Ancient Farm in the south of England. It was inspired by the "Little Woodbury" archeology discovery that was famously excavated in the 1930’s on the Salisbury Plains. This recreation is the largest roundhouse I have ever seen. You really need to see it in person to witness how majestic this build is!
