3 Days Solo Bushcraft Trip – Canvas Lavvu Shelter – Monster Pike Fight – Camp Craft
Camping, hiking, bushcraft, canoeing and fishing. Out for three days with the everlasting polish lavvu shelter. Longest video I did so far. The Swedish lone wolf poncho is not canvas but linnen…much more lightweight and made for a perfect awning to the Polish Lavvu. I say we have a match!
Put my pants in a stupid spot in the dark so it rained on them in the night. Sometimes you see me doing the simplest and fastest thing just to make something work. Sometimes I go overkill with something so simple as to hang some wet clothes. This was one of those times. Why? Because when I have the time I think its fun to carve and create things. I had extra pants with me thank God. Simple. I am not in constant survival bypass mode. I just like camping, and chores like carving etc is mediative for me. So spare me the comments that start with "I just take a stick and…."
October pike fishing is pretty intense. Since I found the deepest spot in the lake last year I’ve gotten bigger pikes. This one, 85 cm long, short but very wide was the biggest pike so far. I marked the floor in the canoe to measure the length of the fish later. The scales I have is defect (from too much hanging heavy backpacks from it) It showed just over 10 Kg, but trying the scale out at home simulating the weight I calculate the pike was around 7-8 kg.
Thanks for watching!
