My favourite UZI
When visiting the Sellier & Bellot factory in Czech republic we had a unique chance to test out some full auto guns on their ballistic testing range.
Shooting full auto guns for science? – i know, it’s hard work, but someone has to do it.
I have already shot the UZI before but only in semi-auto mode but full-auto is where it really shines.
The open bolt system i nicely balanced where the moving mass of the bolt almost equalizes with the recoil of the 9x19mm round which essentially creates a bullet hose.
Because of this UZI is very controllable in full-auto and super enjoyable to shoot!
Since we had the chance we also tried the MINI and MICRO UZIs. Those are more compact size but because of the reduced mass and travel of the bolt, the rate of fire becomes faster and that makes it harder to control.
OG UZI is definitely my favourite of the bunch.
