It’s Early but I’m Very Impressed! – Rab SilTarp 3 Cordura Nylon Tarp First Look and Preview
This Tarp is made from Cordura Nylon?
I’ve been using the Rab Siltarp 1 for years and recently I decided to get in a larger version to see how well it performs.
What I have here today is a 10’ x 12’ tarp from the company known as Rab. Haven’t heard of them before, don’t worry you aren’t alone. Rab is not a big name in the US but outside of the country, this company has a very good reputation for making quality gear and clothing. Rab is a British manufacturer of clothing and equipment for climbing and mountaineering which was founded in 1981

SilTarp 1 :
I’ve been using the SilTarp 1 for years because of how impressive that tarp is, I decided to pick up a larger version that I can use for a higher variety of tarps.
Speaking of the Siltarp 1, check this out real quick :

Pricing : For a tarp that’s made with these higher end materials, of this size and with this low of a weight, the price is going to be high and the price is certainly higher than many 10’ x 12’ tarps that are out on the market. With that being said, as long as there aren’t any issues with the tarp, the price is very much fair considering what you are getting. There are plenty of tarps out there, those that are ultralight and of a similar size that are much more expensive.
