Review Pros :
Great quality Nalgene bottle.
Large capacity Nalgene.
You have the capability of a bottle with the ease of access of a bladder – in other words, you have the hose and the ability to get quickly without having to get the bottle out of your pack.
Easy to clean
Easy to refill
Easy to add treatment drops
You can easily add flavor to your bottle and can as I mentioned already, easily clean it.
Having the ability to drink without getting out the bottle is a huge plus – this translate to the user consuming more water while out on the trail which is a good thing in most situations.
Cost : $30 isn’t bad for this system; Honestly a higher price wouldn’t surprise me at all. In general, a 48oz Nalgene runs around $13, a hydration hose runs around $15…
This system can be used with filtration devices very easily.
If you need to get out of your bottle, you can do so easily and quickly which isn’t the case with a bladder.
You can easily change out the hose and bit valve if you like.
Straw can be shortened so that this system can be used with smaller Nalgene bottles.

Review Cons :

No instructions were included with the system; while not difficult to figure out if you have ever used a hydration bladder but if you haven’t done so, you may have to go looking for some instruction on how to put the components together.
Sucking through a hose kind of sucks – it is what it is. I rather drink from a bottle and get the quantity that I want quickly.
Bite valve isn’t my favorite.
