Robo Gear Review: BNVD 1431 Mk2 Night Vision Housing – OpFor Night Solutions/Argus Night Vision
Back after a long hiatus – I tackle a bit about a topic that I got asked to cover by many of you over the years: Night Vison. It’s a longer piece as I cover some NVG concepts as well as review a specific housing.
I’m reviewing the brand new OpFor Night Solutions/Argus Night Vision Technologies BNVD 1431 Mk.2 housing. Patterned off of the well-known L3 PVS-31A, it incorporates the use of PVS-14-compatible glass, making it a more customizable housing. It’s also not ITAR Restricted, so for Canadians like me (anyone outside the US, really) – it is an excellent option for NVG.
Fun Fact: OpFor Night Solutions owned/operated by my long-time airsoft-tech/great friend, Z. If you guys liked my "Gun of Robot" ZTW – then you’ll understand why I trust Z with NVGs as well.
NOTE – CORRECTION: I misspoke – L3Harris PVS-1531s don’t use PVS-15 optics. They also use PVS-14 lenses; it’s in other features that hybridize the 15 with 31As. Anyways – whoops. I’m a dumbass.

Play airsoft safely and responsibly. Always carry your airsoft guns in a gun bag and never brandish them in public. Remember – LE officers don’t have the time, and will not risk, checking if you’re holding an airsoft gun.
Always treat any firearm with respect. Assume it’s loaded, don’t put your finger on the trigger unless ready to fire, don’t point any firearm at anything you’re not willing to destroy, and know what lies in front, beyond, and beside your target.
ALWAYS wear ANZI/Mil-Spec approved ballistic eye wear.
